Medium - Hot Contains Dairy Products After briefly sautéing all the ingredients and spices, we simmer this rich and spicy dish slowly in coconut milk so the steadily cooked mutton becomes more tender than normally cooked mutton and matches well with our basmati rice, paratha or chapatis and potato bhaji. Railway Mutton Kari is a British Raj colonial-era dish with a coconut milk base and was served on long-distance trains. The dish was served with dinner rolls and originally prepared putting all the ingredients together in an earthen pot and slow cooking the whole curry by wood fire on a clay oven. Railway Mutton Kari is traditionally prepared from mutton although goat and lamb can be substituted. The dish is found in different variations across all states of the Indian subcontinent and the Caribbean.
